In this interactive presentation, we’ll walk through the process of building a simple startup website using Backdrop CMS, an easy-to-use open source CMS. We’ll discuss the essential components of a starter website, discuss some of the alternatives tools available, while demoing how you can get started using Backdrop CMS as your solution.

Backdrop CMS is supported by a non-profit organization, and it is continually improved by a worldwide community of developers. Backdrop is easy to get started and highly scalable. It is free and open source software, which means that you will never be locked in to a single service provider.

Participants will leave with an understanding of best practices in building a basic startup website, an understanding of some of the options available to them, along with a detailed understanding of how they could use Backdrop CMS to meet those needs.
